Welcome
Albuquerque Public Schools Education

This blog is dedicated to the entire community of children, parents, educators, administrators, businesses, government, and general public of Albuquerque, New Mexico. I chose the name “I Spy Albuquerque Public Schools Education” because, sometimes, learning about APS, the Board of Education, policies/procedures, etc… is just like the children’s game, “I Spy.” Sometimes it’s like a treasure map while other times it is like navigating in a sea of oatmeal: slow and laborious. Hopefully, this blog can shed some light (or milk and sugar) on the how, what, where, when, and who for navigating the world of education in our schools.
Please feel free to read the “About” page for a more complete explanation as well as the rules and regulations for contributing to the blog.
Your contributions are encouraged.
Welcome!

Great blog and great links. Your contact page only has the board of education on it. Will there be more? May I suggest you have links for schools, principals, and administrators? It’s really hard to find that information on the APS site.
Are there more parent informationlinnks?
I’ve read your other blog many times. I enjoy your sense of humor. Your going to need one with this blog.
How do you feel about the grade change, the principal shuffle, and the new assistant superintendents?
Thanks for everything you are doing.
Our community needs something like this!

It’s difficult to know where to turn and how navigate the APS system even as an employee–I can only imagine the frustration as a parent. I really admire your willingness to take on this challenge. I think you’ve got great links and a great start here. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help and if I come across any little nuggets I can share, I’ll definitely pass them along.
